Santa rocking around Roxburghe day unit

The festive spirit was in full swing at Roxburghe House yesterday (Wed 17 Dec), as patients and staff gathered for the annual day unit Christmas party.

It was an afternoon filled with laughter, music and a very special visitor from the North Pole.

The day unit was transformed into a winter wonderland thanks to the hard work of Carole, Laura and Roseann, who ensured every detail was perfect for the guests.

Patients enjoyed a delicious three-course Christmas lunch with all the trimmings, served by the dedicated NHS staff.

The atmosphere was further lifted by Mike, with his wide repertoire of live music. His performance had everyone tapping their toes and singing along to festive favourites, creating a truly celebratory mood.

A highlight of the party was the arrival of Father Christmas and his elf. There was a familiar face under the red hat this year - volunteer driver John. While he is usually known for transporting patients to the day unit, he transferred seamlessly to driving the reindeer sleigh.

No Christmas party is complete without gifts, and Father Christmas made sure no one left empty handed. Every patient received a beautiful Christmas hamper, which was proudly funded and gifted by the Friends of Roxburghe House Grampian.
