Friends unveil bright new look online

Friends of Roxburghe House Grampian has unveiled a new look, with our new logo taking centre stage on our revamped website.

The improved online presence was driven by the evolving ways in which people interact with organisations and better reflects what the Friends stand for. We have also set up a Facebook page to share news and updates.

The new logo was designed to express a simple, positive and approachable identity for the Friends. It uses a flower motif, as the gardens at Roxburghe House play a significant part in creating a calm and relaxing environment and are tended by volunteers.

The acre of grounds around the hospice has a shallow pond with a water feature, and provides a quiet area of relaxation for both patients and visitors.

“Roxburghe House is all about living, and we work together to create an environment of care, compassion and understanding,” said Friends chairman Barbara Manson.

“The flower in our new logo indicates our dedication to celebrating life. The blue represents the calm and serenity of the surroundings, with green symbolising harmony and life. The bright orange of the flower expresses optimism and determination.

“It also emphasises that we are friends and here to provides support and comfort.

“Together with NHS Grampian, we work to create an environment of care, compassion and understanding.”

Friends of Roxburghe House Grampian provides support and comfort for both in-patients and out-patients, funding extra services and projects that support NHS Grampian.

We manage the funds donated to the Friends to continue to improve the quality of life in Roxburghe House. This ranges from funding non-essential staff posts, to improving facilities or providing those important little extras that can make a difference.
