The sponsored event is part of the Aberdeen finance advisory firm’s year of fundraising for Friends in memory of colleague and close friend Iain McGettrick.
The Portlethen father-of-two passed away earlier this year aged just 38 following a terminal cancer diagnosis.
On Sunday 4 August, a group of Hutcheon Mearns accountants and finance professionals is taking on a gruelling Lochnagar trek, with some of the team taking on the challenge of Loch Muick.
Adam Maitland, managing director of Hutcheon Mearns Integrating Finance, said: “The plan is to start our Lochnagar Hike early in the morning as it will take around eight hours.
“We’re also offering a Loch Muick walk that takes around three hours and sets off early afternoon with the idea that everyone finishes around about the same time in the same area.”
They decided to support Friends in memory of their colleague Iain McGettrick (above) who was supported by Roxburghe's staff and facilities during his final weeks before he passed away in January.
