Meet Barbara Manson, who took on the role as our chair of trustees in 2020.
"The board and myself are so grateful for all the support for Friends from donors and fundraisers. We hope that the funding of all sizes of projects at Roxburghe House continues to support the patients, their families and the excellent staff team for many years to come."
As well as her work with Friends, her lifelong love of horses has driven her work with the charity Riding for the Disabled (RDA). Barbara has been involved with the Gordon RDA Group for 30 years, where she has done everything from feeding horses and coaching participants to chairing the group. She is also currently a member of the RDA UK board.
In addition, she runs a small holiday cottage business on the farm, which she and her husband started in 2020.
Barbara maintains she does have spare time, which she likes to spend gardening, reading and cooking as well as riding horses and skiing.
